The Gurkha Jungle Khukuri is the second standard issue knife for the Singapore Police Force Gurkha Contingent (SPFGC), distinct from the British Gurkha's version. This unpolished kukri, designed in the "ChainPure" style, is issued for training, exercises, and special assignments. It features an 11-inch blade with a closed notch and brass inlay pattern, a hidden rat tail tang, and a simple buffalo hide sheath with a single loop belt holder. The unpolished blade enhances cutting ability and durability by preventing loss of temper during polishing.

This utility knife also includes two small companion knives: the Karda (utility knife) and Chakmak (sharpener), both with wooden handles.

Singapore Police Force Gurkha Contingent (SPFGC)
The Gurkha Contingent (GC), a specialized unit within the Singapore Police Force, is renowned for its discipline and dedication. Formed in 1949, the GC played a critical role in maintaining order during Singapore's early years of independence by serving as a neutral force amidst ethnic tensions. Today, they are an elite counter-terrorist and special guard force, continuing to uphold their legacy of impartiality and professionalism.
