Kukris

A kukri, also known as a khukuri, is a traditional Nepalese knife with a distinct curved blade that flares at the tip. It is commonly associated with the Gurkha soldiers of Nepal and is used as both a tool and a weapon. The kukri typically has a forward-curving blade, a full tang (meaning the metal of the blade extends into the handle), and a notch at the base of the blade known as a cho, which is said to prevent blood from reaching the handle when the knife is used for chopping. Kukris are renowned for their effectiveness in chopping wood, clearing brush, and as a close-quarters combat weapon. They are also often used in ceremonial and religious rites in Nepal.
